Ipe is a Brazilian hardwood and is the most popular hardwood decking material in North America. Ipe Lumber is the hardest of all decking material available, it is clear of knots, it requires little maintenance, it is dimensionally stable, lasts 40-100 years, no major cracking

Western Red Clear Cedar is the top grade of cedar decking available on the market today. It has virtually no knots. Cedar naturally resists decay, rot and termite attack up to 25 years. It can be stained to preserve the natural look.

Trex is the best recognized brand it the maintenance free industry. It has been manufacturing composite boards since mid nineties. Though earlier generations of deck products had several problems including mold, newer product lines have dealt with most of these problems.

Azek is the most popular ultra low maintenance material on the market today. It has been using the same technology (Procell) for over 7 years. New attractive colors are available. Azek has the highest consumer choice rating. Dimensionally stable. No mold, hard to scratch.

Timbertech has an attractive line up of maintenance free products. 100% PVC decking XML line of products with both the wood patterns and the wood grain. New capped composite line of products - Timbertech Evolutions.

Fiberon is the first maintenance free manufacturer to provide their product with a 20 year stain and fade warranty. Appearance and quality wise it is very similar to Timbertech, Trex and Azek, but it costs less. Fiberon offers a great line up of quality products.
